Al Jazeera English published this video item, entitled “About 200 deaths, more missing people in India floods” – below is their description.
While 900 villages have been affected, 100 are completely submerged and hundreds of thousands of people have been moved to safety.
Flooding and landslides are common in India during the monsoon season, but scientists say the frequency and intensity of heavy rains have increased because of climate change.
Al Jazeera’s Elizabeth Puranam reports from New Delhi.
