Pro-choice activists flocked to the area near the Parliament building in #Warsaw on Wednesday, where police blocked the crowds outraged by the #abortion ban. Protesters were seen elbowing and arguing with the police while chanting ‘Let us in,’ waving banners. The rally was organised as a continuation of the protests against the judgment of Poland’s Constitutional Tribunal, which had issued a ruling last month banning nearly all abortions, with exceptions only for instances of rape, incest, and when keeping a foetus would endanger a woman’s life.
