ABC’s China correspondent is out of home quarantine and back on the streets of Beijing | ABC News

After a fortnight in home quarantine, China correspondent Bill Birtles has been allowed on the streets of Bejing again.

Officials in the Chinese cpaital are forcing every person who arrives in the city to spend two weeks at home, or in a quarantine centre.

The measures appear to be working – new infections across the country have plummeted.
