  • 7NEWS Australia published this video item, entitled “ABC TV refuse NSW Coroner’s request to hand over Luna Park fire interviews | 7NEWS” – below is their description.

The ABC is under attack from the police minister who is accusing them of holding back crucial information about the infamous Luna Park ghost train fire.

Seven lives were lost in the 1979 Luna Park fire. It was officially deemed an accident. But a three part ABC documentary claims it was arson part of a corrupt coverup.

The public broadcaster though is now being accused of covering up evidence too and impeding the police investigation that it sparked.

The police investigation into the new claims is now at a stalemate.

“The police need all the unedited vision…it’s important that the police get all of the unedited vision. All of the questions. All of the answers….If that isn’t forthcoming, well then, we can’t re-open the investigation without more information…they’re in breach of a Coroner Court’s request” – David Elliott – NSW Police Minister.
