Afghanistan is seeing a huge spike in COVID-19 cases and a record number of deaths as the country struggles with its third, and worst, wave.

Just last week, 10,000 new cases were recorded, and some say the true number is even higher.

The government has asked for international help, and aid agencies have warned the situation is spiralling out of control.
