South China Morning Post published this video item, entitled “A river of death: The price of Bangladesh’s rapid industrial growth” – below is their description.
Bangladesh is in the midst of a rapid period of industrial development that’s fast-tracking its economic growth. The Buriganga River has been polluted by industrial run-off from the city’s tanneries, dyeing the waters and filling them with harmful chemicals such as chromium and cadmium.
