Francis Wilson, 29, was on a ventilator for 10 days after testing positive for covid-19 in Virginia. Here’s his message to young adults.
Wilson, a George Mason University law student, was among the first wave of coronavirus patients admitted to a Washington-area hospital in March 2020. He was an outlier — young, healthy, no preexisting conditions.
His blood oxygen levels sank as his lungs struggled. For 11 days he was on a ventilator and his family was called in to say their goodbyes.
