A Call to Action for Human Rights – UN Chief

Addressing the Human Rights Council, United Nations Secretary -General António Guterres launched a Call to Action for Human Rights. He said these rights are powerful tools for preventing conflict, reducing human suffering and building a just and equitable world. In the face of a discernible pushback on human rights around the world, the Call to Action singles out seven areas where concerted effort is required, either because there is an opportunity for real progress or the risk of real backsliding.
