84-year-old granny flooded with letters after getting lonely during coronavirus isolation

Their granddaughter Katie took to the internet and invited people to write to her granny. Janet has since received more than 20 letters and is now feeling much less lonely.

Katie has appealed to her friends to do the same for their own grandparents. She’s hoping to start a movement to help keep the elderly in touch with the outside world throughout the crisis. (Janet’s daughter filmed this piece for Channel 4 News.) #grannymail
