    New South Wales has thumped Queensland in a record-breaking win in the State Of Origin opener in Townsville, led by three tries from Tom Trbojevic; three states are on COVID alert after a 44-year-old woman tested positive to COVID following an interstate road trip spanning 1,800 kilometres; and a polar blast will see the possibility of snow to the southern parts of Queensland, as parts of Victoria and New South Wales experience wild and chilly weather.
