Al Jazeera English published this video item, entitled “53 sailors presumed dead after sunken Indonesia submarine found” – below is their description.
Indonesian authorities have confirmed a submarine that went missing with 53 people on board has sunk.
Crews found debris from the KRI Nanggala 402 near the coast of Bali, and authorities say it is evidence that the vessel cracked.
They believe the submarine could be 850 metres below the ocean surface, making the search effort more difficult and dangerous.
Al Jazeera’s Jessica Washington reports from Jakarta, Indonesia.
