The son of two people found dead north of Brisbane yesterday has been arrested in Sydney and will be charged with their murder.
Queensland police said the bodies of a man and woman were discovered at an address in Joyner, north of Brisbane, just before 2:00pm yesterday.
The couple, both aged 59, were found dead inside their home, police said.
At about 6.30pm last night, New South Wales Police arrested a 31-year-old man on Sydney’s northern outskirts on a warrant for murder.
The ABC understands he is the dead couple’s son, who had been living at home with his parents.
“Acting on information, officers from Hornsby highway patrol stopped a Toyota Rav4 travelling south on the M1 at Berowra,” NSW Police said in a statement.
