14-day quarantine for most UK arrivals | Coronavirus

Home Secretary Priti Patel has announced anyone arriving in the UK by air, sea or rail must self-isolate for two weeks. (Subscribe: https://bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)

During the 14-day quarantine, public health authorities will do random checks, and those flouting rules will face a £1,000 fine or a court order.

Arrivals are recommended to use personal transport to get back home before quarantining.

“By taking these steps, we can save many more lives,” she said.

The Home Secretary was joined by Border Force’s Director General Paul Lincoln, and Sir Patrick Vallance, the UK’s Chief Scientific Adviser.
