Eleven workers trapped inside a Chinese gold mine for two weeks were rescued safely on January 24, 2021. The explosion on January 10 had trapped 22 workers in the Hushan mine in Qixia city, eastern Shandong province. One of the miners was confirmed dead after suffering serious head injuries and rescuers continued a search for 10 workers still missing.
