One person was shot dead and a police officer was injured during a shooting on Monday afternoon at a high school in Knoxville, southern U.S. state of Tennessee, police said. The armed man was killed as police officers approached and fired shots at him, according to an NBC News report. A second person was detained for investigation, authorities said.
