بعد مرور عامين على بدء الجهود الطموحة التي تبذلها منظمة الصحة العالمية من أجل التخلص من الدهون المتحولة المنتجة صناعياً في الإمدادات الغذائية العالمية، تفيد المنظمة بأن 58 بلداً حتى الآن قد اعتمدت قوانين كفيلة بحماية 3,2 مليار شخص من هذه المواد الضارة بحلول نهاية عام 2021. ولكن، لا يزال يتعين على أكثر من 100 بلد اتخاذ إجراءات لإزالة هذه المواد الضارة من إمداداتها الغذائية.
