MTG Retains Premier League Rights Until 2016

mtg-logotypeModern Times Group has retained the rights for the Barclays Premier League until the end of the 2015 / 2016 season. The broadcasting group already had the tournament’s television rights for Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania and is now confirmed as the supplier in the region for a further three seasons.

MTG holds the Baltic rights to the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, the English FA Cup, Turkish Airlines Euroleague, Formula One and ATP tennis, among other events. The events are broadcasted on premium pay-TV sports channel Viasat Sport Baltic.

Additionally, MTG holds the TV broadcasting rights to England’s Barclays Premier League in Sweden, Denmark and Bulgaria. The company is the largest shareholder in CTC Media, which is Russia’s leading independent television broadcaster.
