Ronaldo & Georgina’s Devastating Loss Gets Nadia to Emotionally Open Up About Her Miscarriages | LW

Loose Women published this video item, entitled “Ronaldo & Georgina’s Devastating Loss Gets Nadia to Emotionally Open Up About Her Miscarriages | LW” – below is their description.

In October of last year, footballer Cristiano Ronaldo and partner Georgina excitedly announced that they were expecting twins. But earlier this week Ronaldo posted a heartbreaking statement that one of the babies had died, describing the loss as ‘the greatest pain’. Football fans flocked to support Ronaldo on Tuesday at Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium when fans erupted in applause and sang ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ in solidarity with Ronaldo, who plays for rival club Manchester United. It’s one of the first times we have seen a male footballer – arguably the most famous footballer in the world – open up about baby loss. With the outpouring of love and support from male sportspeople and fans alike, this got us thinking: will Ronaldo’s personal tragedy, and openness in sharing it with his fans, encourage men to open up more about the emotional turmoil of losing a child? The panel will share their own touching personal stories of the heartbreak of losing a baby, learning to live with the loss, and working towards healing in the aftermath of it.
