Paris Fashion Week: Tsumori Chisato – Ready to Wear Spring Summer 2014

Tsumori Chisato was born in Saitama, Japan, in 1977. After studying at the Bunka Fashion School in Tokyo, she went to work for the Issey Miyake design company. She started her own label in 1990 with a debut at Japan Fashion Week. In 1999, Chisato opened a Parisian boutique – her first outside Asia – before branching out into menswear in 2003.

The latest collection from Chisato is a refreshing cornucopia of textures, colours and fabrics. Celebratory knitwear, explosions of colour prints on silk and architectural lines all combine to make a truly enjoyable line of high fashion.

From dragon fly and tiger print day dresses to spectacular white lace and silk two-pieces, Chisato’s depth of range is inimitable and impressive.
