London Fashion Week Spring Summer 2010 Opens

London Fashion Week S/S 2010 has just opened with the reception hall at Somerset House stuffed full of fashionistas, editors and designers. Stephen Jones, the world famous milliner who curated an exhibition at the V&A Museum recently, has an exhibition of men’s and women’s hats. Paul Costelloe has just finished the first catwalk show of the day and Orla Kiely has opened her presentation.

Simon Ward, the Chief Executive of the British Fashion Council, was seen chatting to Stephen Quinn, the publisher of Vogue. Lucinda Chambers, Senior Fashion Director of UK Vogue, is wearing a scruffy beige mac but the colour of the day among everyone else appears to be black. Piers Atkinson, another milliner, was seen walking through the lobby of Somerset House in a booble-mickey-mouse hat.
