Yesterday the Chancellor, Rishi Sunak, announced that every household in the UK would receive £400 from the government to tackle soaring prices. This £15 billion U-turn aims to help the most vulnerable members of society with energy bills this coming winter, but is it a fair distribution of money? Or should people be able to give their money to someone else? Kaye thinks she’ll give her £400 to someone else, Nadia wonders if simply giving a lump sum to people will help, and Stacey thinks some people won’t know what to do with it.
