How To Make A Rich Beef Ragu 🍝- BBC Good Food- BBC Good Food

Learn how to make a rich and comforting beef ragu with a tasty tomato sauce that the whole family will love. We’ve just used beef mince in this recipe but you can use a mix of beef and pork mince if you like. Serve with pasta and plenty of parmesan cheese or use it as a base for lasagne.

BEEF RAGU INGREDIENTS (serves 4)

1 tbsp olive oil
1 onion, halved and finely chopped
1 celery stick, finely diced
1 large carrot, finely diced
600g pack minced beef steak
3 tbsp tomato purée
2 garlic cloves, finely grated
2 tsp fresh thyme leaves
150ml red wine (or use extra beef stock)
500ml beef stock
