Chocolate Cake Recipe (No Eggs Needed!)
Ingredients
- 200g butter
- 200g chocolate
- 200g nuts (hazelnuts or almonds)
- 200g self raising flour
- 200ml milk
- 200g caster sugar
200g of everything, in other words!
Method
- Put the nuts into a food processor and whiz them
- Put the chocolate in while its whizzing
- Put the butter in
- Put the flour in
- A pinch of salt in
- Pour the milk in
- Pour the sugar in and keep mixing it.
- Put some greaseproof paper into a baking tray OR rub oil or butter around a tray and put flour in (see the video)
- Pour your mixture into the tray (Jamie also says you could put dried fruit or chocolate chips into your mixture after you’ve mixed it — if you want to get creative)
- Spread the mixture in your tray
- Cook at 180 degrees C for 18 minutes
- It should be crusty on the outside, and wobbly in the middle (like a chocolate brownie)
- Optional – grate some chocolate on the top
- Serve still warm with some fresh yoghurt OR ice cream OR creme fraiche
