Bangers & Mash Recipe
Ingredients
- Pork Sausage
- Potatoes
- Red Onion
- Garlic
- Chives
- Rosemary
- Beef stock (or any stock)
- Olive Oil
- Worcestershire Sauce
- Balsamic Vinegar
- Grain Mustard
- Smoked salt
Method
- Boiling water in pan – add salt
- Cut potatoes super small to allow them to boil within 8 minutes
- Olive oil into a frying pan for sausages
- Prick sausages with cocktail stick
- Crush garlic, add to frying pan with rosemary
- Turn sausages around until there’s plenty of colour
- Olive oil in another frying pan and put finely sliced red onion in
- Tip some boiling water out of potatoes
- Add butter to sausages
- Baste sausages
- Sausages into the oven at 160c
- Tiny teaspoon of sugar onto the onions
- Add salt & butter to the onions
- Balsamic vinegar onto onions
- Lea & Perrins worcestershire sauce onto onions
- Reduce sauce on onions
- Add touch of stock to onions “don’t flood the pan”
- Drain potatoes and put back into hot pan, mash
- Add olive oil & beat in
- Turn gas down, add smoked salt & mustard, fresh chives to mashed potatoes
- Turn gas off
- Add a small knob of butter to the red onion
- Serve
