Created in honour of the 2011 BAFTAS, this vesper martini cocktail recipe belongs to the master mixologist at Grey Goose vodka, Dimi Lezinska and was named for the film The King’s Speech.

Ingredients

  • 35 ml Grey Goose vodka
  • 15 ml BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® gin
  • 15 ml NOILLY PRAT® Ambré
  • Dash Orange bitters
  • Zest Lemon

Method

  1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice.
  2. Stir and strain into a small cocktail glass.
  3. Lemon zest on top and garnish with a macerated cherry on a cocktail pick.

Served at the BAFTAS after-party in Soho House, London, a series of stars were served with cocktails themed for the evening including; Darren Aronofsky, Colin Firth,  Emma Watson, Neve Campbell and Kevin Spacey, Tilda Swinton, Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton. Squeeze performed at the event which lasted until 4am.
