Paris Fashion Week: harryhalim Womenswear RTW Hiver 2011

The autumn winter ready to wear collection for 2011 from harryhalim is called “ATROPOS” (Άτροπος “without turn”). In Greek mythology Atropos was one of the 3 Moirae (goddesses of fate and destiny). She selected the mechanism of death and ended the life of each mortal by cutting their thread with her “abhorred shears.”

There are many elements to harryhalim’s line for Autumn 2011 including a First World War military influence, assymetric cuts, capes, collars, plumes, leather and knitwear creating a vampish look. Neat waistcoats and smart overcoats create impressive outfits that have edge, attitude and style.
