Harvard Law School published this video item, entitled “Online Courts: Keynote address by Richard Susskind on the future of justice” – below is their description.
On Nov. 20, Harvard Law School’s Center on the Legal Profession hosted a virtual conference titled “Online Courts: Perspectives from the Bench and the Bar. During this special webinar event, legal experts, practitioners and judges explored how the bench and the bar are adapting to the movement to online courts prompted by the global health pandemic, and what this reveals for the future of courts and justice going forward.
Harvard Law School Professor David B. Wilkins, faculty director, Harvard Law School Center on the Legal Profession, kicked off the webinar, which was an update to a HLS book talk that University of Oxford professor Richard B. Susskind gave in April for his book, “Online Courts and the Future of Justice.” Susskind also covered the subject in an article, “The Future of Courts,” that appeared over the summer in HLS journal The Practice.
During the webinar, Susskind delivered a keynote address focused on how technology would change the way court’s and the future of justice could work.
