Keeping the Peace with Bob Bianchi: Patrol Car Video Catches NC Officers Making Racial Slurs

A patrol car video caught officers using racial slurs. Three Wilmington police officers were fired for “Hate-filled speech.” A video was discovered during a routine inspection. The Chief stated the conversations were “Brutally offensive.” The Officers were fired for violating rules and procedures.” An NYPD officer was charged with strangulation after a chokehold.

Officer David Afanador was suspended without pay. Afanador was accused of placing a man in a banned chokehold. Ricky Bellevue, 35, was hospitalized after he was pinned to the ground. Bellevue was accused of taunting and heckling four cops. Afanador was released from jail on his own recognizance.

A special prosecutor will investigate Elijah McCain’s death. Mcclain, 23, was detained after a suspicious person 911 call. The Colorado governor called for a closer review of the case. Mcclain died after police held him in a chokehold. The governor stated, “Elijah McClain should be alive today.” Mcclain’s last words were, “I’m an introvert, I’m different.”

The “Justice for Breonna Taylor” movement has called for officers’ arrest. Breonna Taylor, 26, was killed during a no-knock warrant. Detective Brett Hankinson shot several rounds into Taylor’s apartment. The acting police chief has called the officers’ actions “Reckless.” A rally was gathered at the Kentucky Capitol to urge the DA to file charges.
