Counter protesters displayed an “all lives matter” sign. The video shows a man’s knee on the neck recreating the death of Floyd. NJ Gov. Phil Murphy strongly condemned the actions in the video.
Minneapolis Police Chief Severs has ties with the police union. Chief Arradondo ends contract negotiations with the union. Chief Medaria Arradondo, stated that it’s the first step to reform. Arradondo says the decision opens the door to real reform. Arradondo plans to reform the use of force procedures. Arradondo aims to overhaul disciplinary procedures. Minneapolis police have been faced with calls for defunding. Minneapolis PD faces scrutiny in the wake of Georg Floyd’s death.
