Federal inmate executions resume after 17 years. A Second inmate was executed on Thursday morning in Indiana. Supreme court ruling cleared the way for the execution. Lawyers: Wesley Purkey suffered from advancing dementia. Purkey confessed to killing Jennifer Long, 16, in 1998. Purkey was convicted of raping, killing & dismembering Long.

A Michigan officer saves a 3-week-old baby from choking. Sterling Heights police officer rescues the choking newborn. Dashcam video captures the moment the officer saves the baby.
