In This Story: Darrell Brooks

A jury convicted Darrell Brooks, a Wisconsin man of killing six people and injuring dozens of others when he drove his SUV into a Christmas parade on November 21 2021.

Darrell Brooks was found guilty Wednesday 26 October 2022 of all 76 charges, including six counts of first-degree intentional homicide.

He drove into the parade in Waukesha on November 21 2021 after fleeing a domestic disturbance with an ex-girlfriend. Dozens of other people were hurt.

Brooks dismissed his public defenders days before his trial began in early October 2022 and defended himself throughout the proceedings.

He was removed from the courtroom a number of times for his erratic outbursts and confrontational exchanges with the judge.

ByteDance first launched Douyin for the Chinese market in September 2016. Later, TikTok was launched in 2017 for iOS and Android in most markets outside of mainland China; however, it only became available worldwide, including the United States, after merging with another Chinese social media service Musical.ly on 2 August 2018.
