Five Tennessee police officers were terminated and are now under investigation after allegedly beating Tyre Nichols during a traffic stop on January 7. Authorities said the 29-year-old Fed-Ex worker died in the hospital three days after the incident. Nichols’ family attorney, who watched bodycam footage of the incident, alleges his death was a result of the “savage” beating by Memphis officers.
