Accused Christmas Parade Killer Darrell Brooks Appears in Court (L&C Daily)

Law&Crime Network published this video item, entitled “Accused Christmas Parade Killer Darrell Brooks Appears in Court (L&C Daily)” – below is their description.

Darrell Brooks, the man accused of killing six people and injuring dozens of others in the Waukesha Christmas parade last year, appeared in court on Monday. Brook’s defense motioned for the trial to be delayed until 2023, arguing it needed more time for discovery. The presiding judge dismissed the motion. The Darrell Brooks trial is scheduled for October 3.

In other news, closing arguments continued in the federal trial of alleged Sarah Lawrence College cult leader Lawrence Ray. It is unclear when jury deliberations will take place. Plus, there are more developments in the case of George Wagner IV, the man accused of murdering 8 family members in Pike County in April 2016. Finally, the defense is presenting its case in the trial of Michael Barisone, the former Olympian charged with two counts of attempted murder. Defense attorneys indicated there would only be a handful of witnesses called, and that their testimony would be brief.
