Italian Art and Cuisine on Show in Beijing

Italian art and cuisine is going on show at the Ritz-Carlton in Beijing through a partnership between Chef Gianluca Visani from Bologna and contemporary artist Francesco De Grandi from Palermo. The pair will be exhibiting the best of Mediterranean culture from 29th August until 10th September 2011 at the exclusive Barolo restaurant.

Scallops, lobster and cod will be prepared in an Italian style by the home grown talent of Chef Visani before being served against the backdrop of “subtle tones of reminiscence” captured in the paintings of De Grandi. Fettuccine, almonds, balsamic vinegar and Italian wine are just some of the delectable flavours on offer to diners in the Chinese capital.

During the festival, a 20% discount on food and beverage will be available. Barolo is located in the Ritz-Carlton Hotel at Central China Place, Beijing. Reservations: 86-10 5908 8151.
