Human Rights Lawyer Nasrin Sotoudeh Release from Prison in Iran

Human Rights lawyer, Nasrin Sotoudeh, has been released from prison in Iran, according to the European Union’s Office for for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. She was arrested in September 2010 on charges of spreading propaganda and conspiring to harm state security.

Ms Sotoudeh was awarded the European Parliament’s Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought in 2012 for her work in representing opposition activists following the 2009 presidential election in Iran.
