Gustavo Lins Autumn Winter 2010

If you’re looking to keep warm this Winter, Gustavo Lins is your man. With layers of carefully constructed clothing and pelts of mink fur, ladies in Lins will not feel a shiver once the cold comes.

The Brazilian architect-turned-fashion designer took his inspiration for the Autumn Winter 2010 collection from Arne Jacobsen’s Ant chair – the one-piece seat and back. Weaving this architectural shape throughout his collection, Gustavo Lins created simple one-piece coats and dresses with excellent form and subtle colouring.

The coats are structural and warm, the dresses smart and fitted with clean lines and a cool edge. Tight Japanese hairstyles on the models highlighted the gelled and streamlined approach of Lins’ architectural background.

The chair motif popped up through the presentation, with models taking off their coats and draping them on Ant chairs and an outline of the famous design appearing on one many of the dresses.

Perfect for any smart occasion, these outfits will be a sure fire hit this Winter season.
