Gap Opens Banana Republic Store in Paris, France

Fall 2011 Collection, Banana Republic

Gap has opened a flagship Banana Republic store in Paris, France. The 1,482 square meters of retail space is located on the infamous Avenue des Champs Élysées. Two floors of neoclassical architecture are graced with marble, a Charles Edwards chandelier and French Art Deco antiques. The staff have a collective knowledge of 15 languages, ideal for the international visitor.

The Banana Republic brand opened in the second fashion capital, Milan, in 2010. There are now over 600 Banana Republic stores worldwide including a franchise in Moscow, Russia. The brand is owned by the US-based company, Gap, which had net sales of $14.7 billion in 2010.
