Football: Barclays Premier League Fixtures, Sunday 16 January 2011

Four big Barclays Premier League matches take place on Sunday 16th January 2011, with the biggest of all being the 2nd v 5th fixture between Tottenham and Man Utd at White Hart Lane.

Three derbies and a top of the table clash add up to a super Sunday of Premier League football.

The day begins with two of the biggest derbies of the calendar. Birmingham v Aston Villa, which is shaping up to be a relegation battle as well as a derby kicks off at 12pm, as does Sunderland v Newcastle, which could be a six pointer in terms of who finishes the higher of the two in the league this season.

Liverpool have their own derby at home to Merseyside rivals Everton at five past two, in which they’ll be looking to pick up a first league win for newly appointed manager Kenny Dalgleish.

Manchester United can go top of the league, and get it back from local sky blue rivals, Man City in the process, if they win away at White Hart Lane, though Spurs have got the carrot of a UEFA Champions League fourth place dangling in front of them should they record a home victory on one of the best Sunday fixtures lists of the 2010/11 season.
