FIFA World Cup 2014: Italy 23 Man Squad

Italy coach Cesare Prandelli has named his 23 man squad to travel to Brazil for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

The Italian side has a nice balance in terms of youth and experience, with calm old heads like Gigi Buffon in goal, and imperious midfielder Andrea Pirlo, joined by players who have fewer kilometres on the clock.

Italy, surprise winners in 2006, will be hoping to do better than their lacklustre group stage elimination in 2010 from Group D.

The Azzuri will have it all to do, however, from this difficult group which also contains England, Uruguay and Costa Rica.
