FIFA World Cup 2010: Nigeria Name Provisional Squad

Nigeria – The Super Eagles – have named their provisional squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

Lars Lagerback, the coach, has selected 30 players from which his final squad of 23 will be selected. This is the coach’s first tournament since taking over from Shaibu Amodu who was sacked following Nigeria’s African Cup of Nations third place.

Nigeria will meet Argentina, Greece and South Korea in their tricky Group B.

  1. Nigerians are good in everything but The only problem we have is that we never learnt from past mistakes. I wouldn’t fault the Boys if they don’t go far in the tournament because our Leaders care less about anybody but themselves. Nonetheless, I wish our Boys Goodluck! OH!!! my God, we have agued of this but mercy of argentina is going to make put shame on nigerians but doubted becuase God of Nigeria never fail us and this is the time to show himself to Nigerians and make us proud so that our name will remain giant of Africa.     • My Guy, I beg nor deceive urself we ain’t giant anymore – Our Leader should be talked to “We’ve got rubbish goverment”.
      I wouldn’t blame the boys if they allow Messi to do whatever he wants because they need to protect their Career. And don’t forget that Messi is a great and world class player. Please remember what he did to us at Highbury in the last champions league. Here in the U.K we respect good players and Messi is one of them.

I think Mike Eneramo should’ve been invited along with Femi Ajilore.Those of U clamoring for U-17 and U-20 players to be included need to wake up…this is not youth competition…the guys U’re asking to be included have not competed in any world class teams hence do not have the experienced to face the likes of Kaka,Messi and Canavarro…let’s be real….
