    Grammy and Oscar-winning recording artist H.E.R. has combined music and education in her contribution to Netflix’s new animated series “We the People.”

    Created by Chris Nee and produced by Barack and Michelle Obama, the 10-part series provides a range of civics lessons through three-minute music videos.

    H.E.R. said she believed music was a great vehicle to reach people and to empower them as she admitted “people listen to it anyway”.

    “We the People” premieres Sunday 4 July on Netflix.
