Watford Footballer Troy Deeney Writes a Poem for Mother’s Day

Troy Deeney Poem for Mother’s Day

Watford footballer, Troy Deeney often walks the difficult line between being “one of the boys” as a pro Premier League soccer player, while coming up with the right words at the right time. He has depth, as he showed once more with this poem for his mother, with Mother’s Day in the UK happening this Sunday.

The UK’s ITV1 show, Good Morning Britain, produced this item on Troy Deeney’s poem:

Troy Deeney, Premier League player and Watford Captain surprised his mother, Emma, with a heartfelt video and poem for Mother’s Day.

Troy encourages others, at this time of forced separation from family members, to tell their loved ones what they mean to them this Mother’s Day.

Dr Hilary Jones has taken inspiration from Troy to also write a poem for his mother and to encourage others to socially distance themselves to keep each other safe.
