Speaking at the première of the latest Pirates of the Caribbean movie on Stranger Tides, in London, UK, Johnny Depp told interviewers “I’ll just keep going as long as they’ll let me keep going” in reference to his continued role as the anti-hero Captain Jack Sparrow in the franchise.
Depp told:
“I’ll just keep going as long as they’ll let me keep going – as long as the stories are good; as long as these people want to go see it, I’m great”
Speaking about the movie itself, and the addition of a new character, played by Penèlope Cruz, Depp said:
“There’s quite an adventure going on there… he (Captain Jack Sparrow) runs into a very worthy adversary in the film, in the form of Penèlope Cruz”
