Rock n roll ransom wins 2011 evidenza handicap at meydan 2011 from halicarnassus

The fourth race at Meydan on Thursday 13th January 2011 was the 20:30 Evidenza Handicap run on the All Weather track over 2200m (approximately 1 mile and 3 furlongs).

The race carried total prize money of $110,000 USD, with $66,000 USD for the winner, and prizes down to 6th place, attracting trainers from around the world to this strong field of high-class handicappers.

Rock N Roll Ransom just got up on the line from Halicarnassus in an enthralling finish to this competitive handicap. The winner was produced late by Ryan Moore to scoop the victory by a short margin over 7 year old British handicapper Halicarnassus, ridden by Tadhg O’Shea. Prizefighting was third for Frankie Dettori in the Godolphin colours.

Merely half a length split the first three come the line, showing that the handicapper was on the money for this event.
