The much anticipated next release from the team behind Call of Duty’s particular brand of realistic military video gaming goes on sale tomorrow, as Call of Duty: Black Ops is set to hit stores from midnight tonight (9th November 2010).
Gamers around the world are expected to queue around the block to get their hands on this, the next instalment of Call of Duty game to hit the shops. When this game is published, there will have been more than 16 releases (including expansion packs and console releases) under the CoD moniker, plus additional merchandise and collectors’ editions.

Multiple Versions
Call of Duty: Black Ops, which is released by Activision, will be available on the PlayStation 3 (PS3), Xbox 360, Wii and PC DVD as well as the Nintendo DS. As is fast becoming customary in the gaming world, there will be collectors editions and special releases for “Black Ops” too, for the most ardent of fans – for gamers who use PS3 or Xbox 360 consoles, there will be three editions: Standard Edition, Hardened Edition and Prestige Edition.
Call of Duty: Black Ops is the first in the vast series of games set to focus on the cold war period.
