The Real-Life Billy Elliot Dancing To Save His Life | This Morning

This Morning published this video item, entitled “The Real-Life Billy Elliot Dancing To Save His Life | This Morning” – below is their description.

He’s the real life Billy Elliot who’s refusing to let a debilitating disease dampen his spirit! Tom Oakley spent most of his childhood in and out of hospital with cystic fibrosis and when doctors told him to exercise to stay well, he quickly lost interest in every sport… until he found ballet. Since leaving school aged 12, he’s devoted up to 60 hours a week to dance, and has never been admitted to hospital. Now the 18-year-old praises dance for saving his life and has just won himself a place at an elite school of ballet. He joins us alongside his mum Sarah, to share his remarkable story, and give us a special performance.
