The Queen has cancelled a planned trip to the COP 26 climate change summit.

Buckingham Palace said Her Majesty “disappointed” not to attend a planned reception for delegates on Monday evening. r

She will instead deliver an address to the assembled delegates via a recorded video message.

The news comes after the Queen received medical advice to rest after spending Wednesday night in hospital.

Since then she has been ‘undertaking light duties’ at Windsor Castle.
