If you’ve recently got into “Vera” – the new ITV series about a Northern detective, then you’ll be excited about The Crow Trap.

When an elderly woman is found murdered, all the clues point to a power struggle over inheritance and the plans for a new quarry in the wild Northumberland hills. Vera, however, knows that there may be more to the private lives of the rural inhabitants and that some disturbing history in the area may have a bearing.

See Brenda Blethyn drive a Land Rover, wonder at the scenery and learn all about Rowan trees in this wild episode of Vera. The mini-series was filmed with the help of Northern Film & Media. Kent-born Blethyn has previously acted in Little Voice and Pride & Prejudice. She was awarded OBE in 2003 for services to drama.

“Vera” Episode 3 airs on 15th May 2011 at 8pm on ITV for UK viewers only.
