Monroe mucks things up with his first dalliance since his wife left. Once he makes it to work, he is faced with the prospect of doing more harm than good when a patient claims that a tumour is allowing him to talk to God and wants to keep it. The brain surgeon decides to make things difficult for anaesthetist Shepherd to salve his poor mood.

A randy patient on the cardiac ward get ups the cardiac surgeon’s nose until she sees his softer side. Bremner, too, decides to take out her private problems on other members of staff.

High drama at the hospital means perfect viewing for a Thursday night.
