Marchlands is the tale of a haunted house, told through the experiences of five families who live there. Somewhere in the countryside near Leeds, three generations feel the reverberations of an untold story invading their everyday lives.
A stellar cast bring this dramatic ghost story to life including top performances from Anne Reid and Jamie Thomas King. Watch the paisley of the sixties, the denim dungarees of the late eighties and the stark white walls of modern interior decorating change as the old house stays the same.
This series is seriously spooky and some moments will make the nervous of disposition jump or cringe, but the dramatic elements of the storyline ensure that the plot never deteriorates into a horror.
“Marchlands” will be airing on ITV1 at 9pm every Thursday from 3rd February – 3rd March 2011 in the UK.
